Richie Lasansky
Richie Lasansky was born in La Paz, Bolivia. He has lived in Costa Rica, Maine and Iowa.
While Lasansky is primarily an intaglio printmaker, his interest in art stems from an age when
he could first hold a pencil. He studied biology in college but returned to art during an eight-year apprenticeship to his grandfather, master printmaker Mauricio Lasansky.
Richie Lasansky has been recognized for his printmaking and drawing, exhibiting nationally and abroad. His most recent solo shows were held at The Washington Printmakers Gallery in Maryland, The Arsenal Gallery in New York, and the Jonathan Frost Gallery in Maine. He currently he lives with his wife in Brooklyn, New York.
