Kreh Mellick

Kreh Mellick attended Maine College of Art where she received a BFA in Illustration and Drawing. Her drawings relate dark tales from her own imagination and have been a way to share an inner dialogue that is not easily communicated in words. Kreh completed a two‐year fellowship at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina, where she was able to broaden her technical vocabulary and experiment with a wide array of media including bookmaking, letterpress and printmaking. After her time at Penland, Kreh relocated to Asheville, NC where she has been keeping studio and following residency opportunities and exhibitions both regionally and abroad. Kreh spent the summer of 2009 at NES Artist Residency in northern Iceland. She completed a new body of work, while at residence at Oregon College of Art + Craft in the spring of 2010. Kreh has just had her first solo exhibition at INTOTO Gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
