Ben Schaeffer, a Long Island native, developed a passion for storytelling at a young age. During his high school years he took advantage of the media programs offered and brought his short films to student festivals in the area. As a high school senior his short, In My Mind, received a perfect score at the Long Island Media Arts Festival. Ben went on to attend The Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University. At Syracuse he developed many short narratives culminating in his senior thesis project, Mere Circumstance of Reality, which played at the Independent’s Film Festival in Florida. For the past five years Ben has been employed in various departments within the film and Television industry in New York City. Through these experiences he gained the skills needed to put together professional projects from start to finish. He is a part owner of the fine art magazine Carrier Pigeon, where he also acts as a content editor. Ben’s life is full of passion for stories and bringing them to others.
